Anambra Prepares for Soludo's Inauguration Ceremony

Anambra State is set to celebrate the inauguration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his second term on November 8, 2025. The event will be attended by prominent dignitaries, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, and former Commonwealth Secretary-General Emeka Anyaoku.

The ceremony will take place at the newly renovated Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka. Governor Soludo, who was re-elected on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has pledged to consolidate his administration's achievements and intensify efforts to tackle insecurity in the state.

Ahead of the inauguration, security has been significantly reinforced across Anambra State, with personnel from various security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, deployed to ensure a hitch-free ceremony. The atmosphere in Awka is festive as residents anticipate the event.
