Native Doctor Arrested in Anambra for Unlawful Practices

John Ezenagu, a native doctor popularly known as Mmou Mmili Afulu Anya, was arrested by the Agunechemba security outfit in Nnewi, Anambra State, for allegedly violating homeland security laws. The arrest occurred on a Friday following a thorough search of his house, prompted by concerns raised during a security briefing with Governor Chukwuma Soludo and security advisor Ken Emeakayi.

Ezenagu was accused of luring young men and women with promises of quick wealth through unlawful practices. He has been cautioned against continuing these activities and is currently under police investigation, facing potential prosecution if found culpable.

In a statement to journalists, Ezenagu expressed regret for his actions, claiming ignorance of the law, and appealed to Governor Soludo for forgiveness, promising to refrain from such practices in the future and to avoid polluting local rivers.
