Anambra by-election: Soludo plans to unleash thugs on opposition parties – LP lawmakers cry

Labour Party lawmakers in Anambra State have raised concerns that Governor Chukwuma Soludo may deploy thugs and security personnel to disrupt the upcoming by-election in the state. The by-election is set to replace a slain lawmaker from Onitsha North 1 State Constituency.

The lawmakers fear that Soludo, of the Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), plans to use the state security outfit, Udogachi, and other enforcers to intimidate voters and manipulate the election in favor of his party. They have called on the national security chief to ensure a peaceful and fair voting process, accusing Soludo of desperation and unfair tactics.

The lawmakers emphasized the importance of a free and fair election as a cornerstone of democratic governance. They urged all security agencies to deploy personnel to protect voters and ensure a transparent electoral process.
