Soludo Taunts Peter Obi, Declares Labour Party, ADC ‘Dead’ After Anambra By-Election Defeat

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State took a jab at former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi after the state's by-election results. Soludo declared that the Labour Party and African Democratic Congress (ADC) were "dead" in Anambra, with the ADC only existing in name.

He emphasized that the opposition coalition, backed by Obi, failed to challenge the Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the election, where APGA secured 75% of the votes. Soludo mocked Obi for supporting the ADC candidate and failing to create a stronger opposition bloc.

The governor celebrated the victory and reaffirmed the people's support for APGA, hinting at a potential shift in the political landscape ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
