New Provost Appointed at Federal College of Education, Umunze

The Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze, Anambra State, has appointed Dr. Ejezi Virginia Nonye as the new provost.

This decision was approved by the governing council, led by chairman Gani Azeez, with the appointment letter issued on Thursday. Dr.

Nonye, who joined the college in 1992, has held various positions including chief lecturer, dean of the School of Science, and director of academic planning. She holds degrees in Chemistry Education and a PhD in Science Education from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

Alongside her, Mr. Ez Joachim has been appointed as the registrar, Mr.

Oguegbulu Philip as the bursar, and Mr. Ameh Godfrei Shaibu as the librarian.

Mr. Joachim has been with the institution since 1996, while Mr.

Oguegbulu joined in 2003. The outgoing registrar, Mr.

Bessi Nkah, and outgoing provost, Prof. Theresa Obumnem Okoli, were acknowledged for their service.

The new leadership is expected to advance the growth and development of the institution.
