Anambra First Lady Distributes Empowerment Equipment

Dr. Nonye Soludo, the Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, addressed beneficiaries at the Anambra State Government House, warning them against selling the empowerment equipment they were about to receive. The distribution aimed to assist 5,000 individuals selected from the 326 political wards in the state.

Mrs. Soludo emphasized that selling the equipment would lead to a return to poverty, urging beneficiaries to use the high-quality items for their businesses. She stated that the initiative was designed to empower families and contribute to the economic well-being of Anambra and Nigeria.

The empowerment materials included industrial sewing machines, make-up toolkits, deep freezers, piglets, goats, grinding machines, grilling equipment, and baking ovens. She also mentioned that a committee had excluded individuals suspected of being well-off from the list to ensure the support reached those in genuine need.
