Anambra Man Arrested for Cousin's Murder and Burial

Chukwudalu Ezeani, aged 35, has been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command for the alleged murder of his cousin, Chinedu Ezeani, aged 52. The crime reportedly occurred on August 1, 2025, at 8 p.m. in Afub Village, Amichi, within the Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The suspect is accused of killing Chinedu Ezeani and burying his body in a shallow grave within his compound to conceal the crime. The case initially began as a missing person report at the Amichi Police Station, which was later revisited by the State Criminal Investigation Department in Awka following credible intelligence.

Preliminary investigations revealed the details of the murder, and upon interrogation, Chukwudalu Ezeani confessed to the crime, leading detectives to the burial site where the decomposed body was exhumed for forensic examination. The suspect has been arraigned in court following the conclusion of the investigation, and the police have urged the public to report any suspicious activities promptly.
