Man Arrested for Cousin's Murder in Anambra State

Chukwudalu Ezeani, a 35-year-old male, has been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command for the murder of his cousin, Chinedu Ezeani, aged 52. The incident occurred on August 1, 2025, at approximately 8 PM in Afub Village, Amichi, within the Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Following the initial report of a missing person at the Amichi Police Station, the case was revisited after credible intelligence led to the suspect's arrest. Upon interrogation, Chukwudalu Ezeani confessed to the crime, which led police to the burial site of the victim's body, concealed in a shallow grave within the compound.

The remains were exhumed for forensic examination. The suspect will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.

The Anambra State Police Command, through spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga, emphasized their commitment to ensuring justice in this case and urged the public to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
