Anambra: Ngige Claims Peter Obi Did Well Because He Followed His Footsteps, "Not His Original Idea"

Former Anambra state governor Chris Nwabueze Ngige claimed that the 2023 LP presidential candidate Peter Obi did well in governance because he followed Ngige's footsteps, not his original ideas. Ngige stated that Obi used the money left by his administration to achieve success in Anambra state.

According to Ngige, Obi's achievements in the state were not his original ideas. The comments were made in a trending interview shared on X handle on Monday, August 11, 2025.

Ngige also mentioned that Obi took the path he left and used the funds wisely, unlike the current governor Willie Obiano. Meanwhile, former minister of Labour and Employment, Solomon Dalung, discussed key issues ahead of the 2027 election, including the presidency.

Obi recently stirred controversy by reaffirming his vow to serve only one term if elected president in 2027.
