Anderlecht Bids €3.5m for Chidera Ejuke from Sevilla

Jupiler Pro League club Anderlecht has made a €3.5m (approximately N5.5bn) bid for Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke, who is expected to leave Sevilla this summer. Ejuke, 28, has been informed that he is no longer part of Sevilla’s plans despite having one year remaining on his contract, with the club willing to sell him for around €3m.

Although he resumed pre-season training with Sevilla, he was excluded from their squad for a tour of the Netherlands, indicating his lack of future under current coach Gracia Plaza. Anderlecht aims to strengthen their squad to compete against Belgian Pro League rivals Union SG and Club Brugge.

Ejuke has prior experience in Belgium, having played for Antwerp during the 2023/24 season, where he scored four goals and provided four assists in 29 league appearances. However, Anderlecht faces competition from Saudi Arabian clubs, which may offer Ejuke a more lucrative deal.

The transfer window remains open, making Anderlecht's €3.5m offer a significant step towards Ejuke's next move.
