Frankfurt Signs Super Eagles Midfielder Onyedika for €9M

Eintracht Frankfurt has reached an agreement with Belgian champions Club Brugge for the transfer of Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika in a deal worth an initial €9 million, with additional performance-related add-ons. The 25-year-old Nigerian international is set to undergo a medical examination before finalizing a long-term contract that will keep him at Deutsche Bank Park until 2031.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that negotiations between Frankfurt and Club Brugge have been finalized, concluding weeks of speculation regarding Onyedika's future. His arrival is anticipated to enhance Frankfurt's central midfield options, leveraging his defensive skills and ability to initiate attacks.

Onyedika has built a reputation as a disciplined holding midfielder during his three successful years with Club Brugge, having joined from FC Midtjylland in 2022. Although he missed the Belgian Super Cup due to illness, discussions about his transfer have intensified, and an official announcement is expected following the completion of the necessary medical and registration processes.
