Anglican Church Urges Action on Nigeria's Insecurity

The Diocese of Aguata Anglican Communion, led by Rt. Rev.

Samuel Ezeofor, has issued a seven-point communiqué at the conclusion of their third session of the seventh synod held at Saint Andrew's Parish in Ezira, Orumba South Local Government Area, Anambra State. The communiqué expresses deep concern over the worsening state of insecurity and corruption in Nigeria, which threatens peace and coexistence across the country.

The church leaders emphasized the need for urgent practical measures to address violence and restore confidence in the nation's security architecture. They condemned the high levels of corruption that undermine national development and unity.

The communiqué also commended Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State, for his establishment of the Agunechemba Vigilante Outfit aimed at strengthening security in the state.

The synod urged the government to ensure effective supervision of this group and called for accountability and responsible leadership to stabilize and develop the nation.
