Anglican Bishop Ezeofor Urges Action on Insecurity

During the third session of the seventh synod of the Aguata Diocese of the Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev.

Samuel Ezeofor called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to take decisive steps to address the increasing insecurity and corruption in the country. He expressed concern over the nation's decline into uncertainty marked by insecurity and economic hardship, attributing these issues to a selfish political leadership that prioritizes personal gain over the welfare of the people.

Ezeofor lamented the lack of a genuine political opposition, which he believes contributes to authoritarianism and unchecked corruption. He criticized the political maneuvering that has left the economy and social development in a challenging state, urging leaders to focus on governance rather than the upcoming 2027 elections.
