Sokoto State to Fund Annual Ramadan Tafseer Fully

On a recent occasion, Sokoto State Governor Ahmad Aliyu declared that the state administration will assume full responsibility for the funding of the annual Ramadan Tafseer organized by the Izala Group, thereby discontinuing the practice of raising appeal funds each year. During a visit from the Izala Group's Kaduna branch, Governor Aliyu expressed his commitment to supporting Islamic affairs, stating that the promotion of Islam remains a top priority for his administration.

He announced the formation of a committee to assess the financial requirements for conducting the Tafseer and indicated that the government is prepared to support religious bodies and organizations in various Islamic activities. Additionally, he highlighted plans for the construction and renovation of Islamic schools and cemeteries across the state.

Sheikh Abubakar Mabera of Jama'atu Izalatil Bid'ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah praised the governor for his ongoing support of Islamic initiatives, while Sheikh Awwal Romo assured continued collaboration with the government.
