Sokoto Governor Aliyu Prioritizes Islamic Affairs Support

During a visit from members of Jama'atu Izalatil Bid'ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah in Kaduna, Sokoto State Governor Ahmad Aliyu reaffirmed that promoting Islamic affairs is a top priority for his administration. In a statement issued by the Director General of Media and Publicity, Abubakar Bawa Aliyu, the governor announced that the state government will fully support the annual Ramadan Tafseer organized by the group.

He indicated that the government would set up a committee to assess the financial requirements for conducting the Tafseer, aiming to facilitate the event without the need for annual fundraising appeals. Governor Aliyu praised the group's role in promoting Islamic ideals and expressed his commitment to supporting religious activities, including the construction and renovation of Islamic schools and cemeteries.

He also acknowledged the importance of the religious services provided by imams and Islamic preachers across the state, highlighting the positive impact of these services on the community.
