Bless Fubara Announces Rivers Governorship Ambition

Bless Fubara, the brother of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, has announced his ambition to run for the governorship of Rivers State under the Nigerian Democratic Congress. He pledged to serve only one term if elected, emphasizing his commitment to restoring peace, stabilizing the economy, and promoting prosperity in the state.

During his declaration ahead of the party's primary elections, he expressed readiness to compete energetically and called for a collective political uprising to reclaim the dignity and pride of the Rivers people. Bless Fubara highlighted the current political distress in Rivers State, citing economic decline and lost opportunities.

He insisted on maintaining the state's zoning arrangement, advocating for the completion of the eight-year tenure in the River South East Senatorial District. He warned against altering the political rotation formula, which he believes could create dangerous precedents.

Fubara called on the people to support his candidacy and emphasized the need for unity across party lines to restore the state to its former glory.
