Yira Sor Joins Amedspor from Genk in Turkish League Move

Yira Sor, a 26-year-old winger, has completed his transfer to newly promoted Turkish Super Lig club Amedspor from Belgian club Genk. Amedspor announced Sor's arrival on Monday via social media, concluding a period of uncertainty regarding his future.

Sor joined Genk from Czech Republic's Slavia Prague in January 2023 but faced challenges due to persistent injuries that limited his playing time and ability to secure a starting position. His move to Amedspor offers a chance to revitalize his career in a new league as the club prepares for its inaugural season in Turkey's top division.

Sor made his Super Eagles debut in March and seeks regular playing time to enhance his performance and position within the national team. He will join fellow Nigerian international Gift Orban, who recently transferred to Amedspor on a season-long loan from Bundesliga club Hoffenheim.

Orban's transfer includes an obligation for Amedspor to make the move permanent under certain conditions.
