Yira Sor Out Six Weeks with Hamstring Injury

Yira Sor, a winger for Amedspor, is expected to be out for around six weeks following a hamstring injury he sustained during Amedspor’s 2-1 victory over Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig on August 31. The injury occurred at the Seyrantepe Spor Kompleksi Stadyumu after Sor helped equalize the match in first-half stoppage time, following an initial goal by Trabzonspor's Mohamed Salah.

Sor was unable to continue after halftime and was substituted by fellow Nigerian player Gift Orban four minutes into the second half. Orban later scored the winning goal in the 90th minute.

On September 1, Amedspor confirmed the severity of Sor's injury after medical examinations revealed an approximately 11-centimeter-long muscle injury in his left biceps femoris (hamstring). The club stated that treatment and rehabilitation are expected to last around six weeks.

Sor joined Amedspor from Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk in August 2023 and has made three league appearances this season, scoring once.
