Labour Party's Usman Warns Against E-Registration Fees

Nenadi Usman, the interim national chairman of the Labour Party (LP), addressed party members regarding the e-registration process during an event in Abuja. He emphasized that the registration exercise is completely free and warned that anyone demanding payment for registration is a thief.

Usman stated that the Labour Party's e-registration initiative is designed to simplify membership documentation in preparation for the upcoming congress. He reassured members that they should not pay any fees to register, as the process is intended to be accessible to all Nigerians.

Usman dismissed any suggestions that the Labour Party is being distracted by critics and affirmed the party's commitment to social justice and equal opportunities for all workers. He also mentioned that the e-registration will culminate in a national convention where members of the national working committee will be elected.

The registration exercise is expected to be completed within three weeks.
