Labour Party Warns Members Against E-Registration Fees

The Labour Party, under the leadership of interim national chairman Senator Nenadi Usman, has issued a warning to its members to ignore any demands for e-registration fees, asserting that the registration process is entirely free. Usman made this announcement during the unveiling of the party's e-registration portal in Abuja, where she emphasized that no Nigerian should pay to register as a member.

She described any such demands as fraudulent. The e-registration exercise is part of the party's efforts to simplify membership documentation and prepare for the upcoming national convention.

Usman highlighted that the initiative aims to enhance transparency in membership registration and guide the party's internal elections. Additionally, veteran trade unionist Lawson Osagi dismissed claims of factionalism within the party, affirming that the Labour Party operates in accordance with a Supreme Court judgment and is committed to producing a credible and verifiable membership register.
