APC and Accord Party Blame Each Other After Attack

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and Accord Party have engaged in a blame game over an attack on the Accord Party's secretariat located along Osogbo-Gbongan road in Osun State. The incident, which occurred late at night, resulted in damage to the building, including perforated walls and shattered glass, allegedly caused by gunfire.

Oladel Bamiji, the deputy spokesperson for the Osun State governor, accused the APC of sponsoring the attack, describing it as an orchestrated scenario aimed at blackmailing the opposition party. In response, Kehind Ayantunji, a member of the APC governorship campaign committee, dismissed the allegations, attributing the situation to internal crises within the Accord Party.

Bamiji called for an investigation by the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, emphasizing the need for security agencies to protect lives and property in Osun State. The APC also faced accusations of previously destroying Accord campaign billboards across the state.
