Osun Accord Party Blames APC for Secretarial Attack

The Osun Accord Party has blamed the All Progressives Congress (APC) for an attack on its secretariat located along the Osogbo-Gbongan road in Osogbo, Osun State. The attack, which occurred late at night, resulted in damage to the party's building, including perforated walls and shattered glass, reportedly caused by gunfire.

Oladel Bamiji, the deputy spokesperson for the Osun State governor, accused the APC of sponsoring the attack and called for a thorough investigation by the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu. Bamiji expressed concerns over rising political violence in the state, particularly targeting the Accord Party.

In response, Kehind Ayantunji, a member of the APC governorship campaign committee, dismissed the allegations, suggesting they were designed to create tension and blackmail the opposition. He emphasized that the APC does not encourage violence and criticized the Accord Party for its internal crises.
