APC Announces Screening Schedule for 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially announced the formation of a screening committee and the schedule for aspirants seeking governorship and National Assembly positions in preparation for the 2027 general elections. According to a statement released on Friday, the screening for Senate aspirants is set to take place on May 9-10, 2026, at the Abuja Continental Hotel, formerly known as Sheraton Abuja.

Concurrently, the screening for House of Representatives aspirants will also occur on the same dates at the Treasury Suite Conference in Abuja. The statement advises all aspirants to attend the screening exercise punctually and to bring the required documentation.

Additionally, the APC has confirmed that the screening exercise for incumbent governors seeking re-election for Senate seats will be chaired by the APC National Chairman, with the APC National Secretary serving as the secretary of the committee. The screening for governorship aspirants is scheduled for May 9-10, 2026, at the NWC Hall of the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, commencing at 10:00 AM daily.
