APC Screens Assembly Aspirants for Yobe 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has initiated the screening process for assembly aspirants in preparation for the 2027 elections in Yobe State. The screening committee, composed of prominent party figures including Barrister Babakura Kaka as chair, Alhaji Mai Kudin Giyad, Abdul Malik Usman, Alhaji Hadi Ahm, and Hon Nasiru Dant, began its work at the Presidential Lodge in Damaturu.

The committee's mandate is to thoroughly vet aspirants for the Yobe State House of Assembly to ensure they meet the stipulations of the Electoral Act and APC guidelines. Current Deputy Speaker Ya'u Usman Dachia expressed confidence in his candidacy for a fourth term, emphasizing his long-standing involvement with the APC since 1999.

The screening process is expected to be seamless and conclude peacefully, allowing successful aspirants to proceed with their campaigns to serve their constituencies.
