APC Hails Successful Congress in Cross River State

The All Progressives Congress (APC) commended the conduct of the recent ward and local government congress in Cross River, describing it as a significant success and a precursor to the party's victory in the 2027 elections. Mr.

Samuel Yarnap, the chairman of the state congress committee, made these remarks on Saturday in Calabar, following the successful conclusion of the congress held from Wednesday to Friday. Yarnap expressed satisfaction with how party members conducted themselves during the congress and noted optimism regarding the state congress.

He highlighted that the congress was the best so far in Cross River, attributing this to the leadership of Governor Sen. Bassey Otu, who fostered a family-like atmosphere within the party.

Mr. Ademola Adetokunbo, chairman of the appeal committee, emphasized the committee's mandate to ensure fairness in line with party guidelines.

Mr. Ekum Ojogu, the state APC chairman, noted that adequate security arrangements were in place to ensure a peaceful congress, while Mr.

Jame Anam, chairman of the Calabar Municipal Local Government Council, credited the peaceful conduct to the prevailing peace in the state.
