APC Aspirants Demand Clarity on Certificate Delays

Aspirants from the All Progressives Congress (APC) have raised concerns regarding delays in the issuance of Certificates of Return after recent primary elections. They are calling for clarity on the post-primary administrative processes to mitigate uncertainty among party members.

Despite the announcement of primary election winners, the delay in issuing certificates has created unease within the party ranks. Aspirants, who spoke anonymously, noted that differing interpretations of party guidelines regarding the ratification of primary election outcomes have contributed to the situation.

They emphasized the need for clearer communication from the party leadership to strengthen internal democracy and avoid unnecessary tension. The situation has prompted discussions within the party, with aspirants drawing comparisons to the timely issuance of certificates to President Bola Tinubu following his presidential primary.

They urged the party leadership to ensure due process is followed for the successful recognition of aspirants in line with established guidelines.
