APC Warns Aspirants Against Undermining Primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a warning to aspirants undermining the integrity of its primaries scheduled for various positions in 2027. National Chairman Professor Nentaw Yilwatda stated that any actions capable of disrupting the primaries could lead to immediate suspension from the party.

This warning was part of a statement released to journalists by Special Adviser on Media and Strategic Communication, Abimbola Tooki. The primaries are set to begin with House of Representatives on May 15, followed by the Senate on May 18, State House of Assembly on May 20, Governorship elections on May 21, and Presidential primaries on May 23.

Yilwatda stressed the importance of a transparent and credible democratic process and urged aspirants to demonstrate maturity and patriotism. He also commended President Bola Tinubu's commitment to strengthening democratic institutions and ensuring effective conduct within the party's internal processes.
