APC Announces Candidates for Edo Local Government Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its candidates for the forthcoming local government elections in Edo State, scheduled for July 11, 2026. Romeo Omoik, a cousin of former Edo State Governor Adam Oshiomhole, has emerged as the chairmanship candidate for Etsako West Local Government Council.

Other candidates include Eric Osawaro Ikopa for Okha LG, Osaro Eribo for Oredo LG, and Gabriel Iduser for Owan West LG, among others. The party's local government election slate also features candidates for various local councils, including Ernest Oyad for Owan East LG and Thompson Osagi for Orhionmwon LG.

Abdullahi Bello, the party chairman, described the congress as a peaceful success, emphasizing the APC's commitment to democratic principles and the strengthening of internal democratic culture among its members.
