Enugu Governor and APC Chairman Witness Defection of 6 Lawmakers in House of Reps

In a significant political realignment, six lawmakers in the House of Representatives formally defected to the ruling APC during a plenary session. Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda were present as five lawmakers from Enugu State left the PDP, while one member from Plateau State defected from the Labour Party to the APC.

The defections were attributed to protracted irreconcilable crises within their former parties. Speaker Tajudeen Abba welcomed the new members, commending their decision to join the APC.

This move marks a notable shift in the political landscape of the South-East states.
