APC Chairman Warns Against Violence in Primaries

Abimbola Tooki, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), issued a warning to party aspirants against engaging in violent actions that could disrupt the upcoming primaries. In a statement released on Monday, he emphasized that any aspirant found inciting violence or sponsoring chaos would face disciplinary action, including immediate suspension from the party.

Tooki reiterated that the APC does not condone violence or unrest, as such actions could compromise the credibility of the primary elections. He urged aspirants to display maturity and sportsmanship, accepting the outcomes of the primaries peacefully.

Additionally, Tooki appealed to party members and stakeholders to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to avoid actions that could create political tension in the country. He reaffirmed the party's commitment to fair and inclusive internal unity throughout the primary election process, which remains central to the APC's agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
