Aiyedatiwa Cautions APC Aspirants Ahead of Primaries

During a stakeholders' meeting held at the Akure Township Hall, Ondo State Governor Aiyedatiwa addressed the APC aspirants ahead of the party's primaries scheduled for next month. He warned the aspirants not to "rock the boat" if they are not chosen, emphasizing the importance of loyalty and discipline within the party.

Aiyedatiwa stated that the upcoming elections will be based on merit and party loyalty, as the political activities in the state are already gaining momentum. He mentioned that the party is in the process of collecting nomination forms and will conduct screenings, allowing for appeals if necessary.

The governor noted that the APC may adopt either direct primaries or a consensus arrangement, depending on the final agreement. Babatunde Kolawole, the state chairman, reaffirmed the party's supremacy and described Aiyedatiwa as the leader of the APC in the state, urging aspirants to accept the party's outcomes maturely and reiterating the party's support for President Bola Tinubu.
