APC Chieftain Denies Links to Violence in Osun State

Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, publicly rejected allegations connecting the party and its governorship candidate, Alhaji Bola Oyebamiji, to political violence in the state.

In a statement made available to journalists in Osogbo on Sunday, Oyintiloye condemned the use of violence for political purposes and stressed that neither the APC nor its candidate is associated with individuals or groups allegedly using the party's name to perpetrate violence and create unrest. He emphasized that the APC is built on values such as integrity, discipline, humility, honesty, respect, justice, accountability, and selfless service.

Oyintiloye urged those involved in violence to desist, asserting that no political ambition is worth the loss of life. He stated that the APC does not require violence to secure victory in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15, arguing that violence does not guarantee electoral success.
