APC Chieftain Urges Tinubu to Appoint Wike as Campaign DG

An APC chieftain from Rivers State has called on President Bola Tinubu to appoint former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike as the Director General of the presidential campaign council ahead of the 2027 elections. The chieftain, identified as Dike, expressed confidence in Wike's political strength and ability to lead Tinubu to victory, noting Wike's demonstrated political ingenuity during his tenure as governor.

Dike outlined several reasons for believing Wike is well-suited for the role, including his extensive political reach and campaign experience. He highlighted Wike's track record in elections, particularly in the Federal Capital Territory and Rivers State.

Dike also recalled remarks from senior advocate Odein Ajumogobia, who reportedly withdrew from the 2015 Rivers governorship race under the People's Democratic Party, asserting that Wike possesses exceptional political acumen. Dike concluded by urging the president to appoint Wike as campaign DG, expressing confidence that this move would secure electoral victory in the upcoming 2023 general elections.
