APC Clears Governor Yahaya for Gombe North Senate Race

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially cleared Governor Yahaya of Gombe State to contest for the Gombe North Senate seat. This decision was announced following a screening exercise conducted by the APC Senate screening committee in Abuja on Friday.

The committee, chaired by Professor Nentaw Yilwatda, praised Governor Yahaya for his service and contributions to the state, expressing confidence in his leadership credentials. Professor Yilwatda noted that Yahaya has previously undergone a similar screening process and has fulfilled all constitutional and party requirements necessary for candidacy.

The committee's statement, issued by APC spokesman Ismaila Uba Misilli, emphasized that there was no need for further rigorous screening given Yahaya's established record of performance and political strength, which has had a direct impact on the lives of the people in Gombe State.
