APC Warned Against Ceding Party Structures to Governors Ahead of 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is facing internal strife as Yekini Nabena, a former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, warns against allowing governors to control all party structures. Nabena emphasizes the importance of inclusivity and avoiding the concentration of power in the hands of a few individuals, urging the National Working Committee (NWC) to ensure a fair and transparent congress process.

He also calls for the intervention of party elder Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prevent a potential implosion within the party. The statement released in Abuja highlights the need for the NWC to guide members on contesting positions and avoid internal conflicts that could lead to a crisis.
