Ondo APC Leaders Oppose Imposition of Unpopular Candidates

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akur South, Ondo State, have issued a warning against the imposition of unpopular candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a communiqué signed by the group's chairman, Mr.

Toni Ala, they emphasized the importance of ensuring that credible and popular aspirants emerge from the party's primaries. The leaders highlighted that imposing candidates without public support could historically weaken electoral outcomes in the area.

They specifically rejected automatic ticket aspirations for candidates from the Akur region. The communiqué also noted the endorsement of two aspirants: Mr.

Oluwafemi Fadairo for the Akur North and Akur South Federal House of Representatives seat and a former director for the Ondo State House Assembly. The leaders expressed their readiness to mobilize support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027 and praised Governor Lucki Aiyedatiwa's inclusive leadership style, pledging continued collaboration with stakeholders to support his administration.
