APC Denies Endorsement Amid Allegations of Intimidation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has denied allegations of endorsing any aspirants for the forthcoming National Assembly primary elections. This statement comes after Victor Olumuyiwa Kolad, a candidate contesting for the Ekiti Central Federal Constituency, claimed that six of his supporters were arrested by the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) on the orders of political actors backing Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

Kolad described these actions as undemocratic and an attempt to intimidate his supporters. APC spokesman Segun Dipe dismissed the claims, asserting that the party remains committed to internal democracy and ensuring free, fair, and transparent primary elections.

He stated that no aspirant has been disqualified and that the party does not endorse any candidate, allowing members the right to support whomever they choose. Dipe reiterated that the recent screening exercise was conducted fairly and that the party does not favor any aspirant.
