APC Disowns Fake 2027 Nomination Form Price List

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has publicly disowned a price list for 2027 nomination forms that circulated widely, claiming it set exorbitant fees for presidential and state assembly aspirants. Felix Morka, the party's National Publicity Secretary, stated that the list, which suggested a fee of 200 million Naira for presidential candidates and 20 million Naira for state assembly aspirants, is false and did not originate from the party.

This denial follows the APC's recent 8th National Convention, where Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima were present. The party expressed concern that such fabricated lists could deter younger and less financially capable aspirants from participating in elections.

Morka urged the media and the public to disregard the misinformation, highlighting the APC's intent to manage public perception amid economic challenges. The party's swift disowning of the list indicates a proactive approach to gauge public reaction and potential donor responses ahead of the elections.
