APC to Sell 2027 Nomination Forms Starting April 25

The All Progressives Congress (APC) announced that it will commence the sale of nomination forms for the 2027 general elections on April 25, 2024. The cost for presidential nomination forms is set at N70 million, while forms for other positions will cost N30 million.

APC's Deputy National Public Secretary, Meseko, disclosed this during the 186th meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party. The timeline for the election activities includes a deadline for form submission on May 4, with screening for legislative and governorship candidates scheduled between May 6 and May 8.

Presidential aspirants will be screened on May 9, and primary elections for the House of Representatives, Senate, State Assembly, and governorship will take place from May 15 to May 21, culminating with the presidential primary on May 23. The APC spokesperson clarified that the nomination forms are available to all members, and the party will employ a hybrid model combining consensus and direct primaries, allowing candidates to seek office without restrictions.
