APC Disqualifies Four Fubara Loyalists for Primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified four loyalists of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara from participating in the House of Representatives primaries set for May 16, 2026. The final list of aspirants was released by the party on Friday, confirming the disqualification of two serving members of the House of Representatives, Awaji Inombekabia and Boma Goodhead.

The disqualified individuals are prominent politicians in Rivers State. The list also includes 21 aspirants who have been cleared to contest, among them Martin Amaewhul, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, who is vying for the Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency to replace his kinsman, the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Kingsley Chinda.

Chibik Ikenga, the State APC Public Secretary, issued a statement confirming the list and emphasized that aspirants should comply with the party's regulations.
