APC Disqualifies Wole Oke From Reps Primary Elections

Wole Oke has been disqualified from participating in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections for the Obokun/Ife Federal Constituency in Osun State. This decision was made by the APC screening committee when Oke appeared before them in Abuja on Wednesday.

Sources familiar with the developments indicated that the disqualification is linked to zoning considerations within the constituency. Members of the screening committee believe that the APC ticket should be zoned to the Oriade Local Government Area instead of Obokun.

Oke has represented the Obokun/Ife Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives for 24 uninterrupted years and was attempting to secure a seventh consecutive term. He originally elected on the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) before defecting to the APC last year.

Oke was appointed as the Director General of the APC campaign team for the upcoming Osun State governorship elections scheduled for August 15, 2026, where APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji is expected to challenge the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke.
