Obasa Warns APC Members Against Linking Him to Protests

Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, issued a warning to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) not to associate his name with protests concerning the recent primary elections in the state. In a statement made available to Daily Post on Wednesday morning, Obasa advised aggrieved APC members to refrain from linking their protests to him.

He specifically addressed the protests that took place at the APC state secretariat on Tuesday, where members accused party leaders of manipulating the outcomes of the primary elections. Obasa described the rumors suggesting he sponsored the protests as misleading and untrue.

He emphasized that there is no business in engaging in what he termed "foolhardy malice" and labeled the assumptions as baseless. He urged party members to focus on constructive actions rather than organizing protests that could disrupt the party's unity and objectives.
