APC Elects Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu as Zonal Chairman

On Wednesday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) elected Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu as the South-east zonal chairman during a zonal congress held at a hotel in Enugu.

The election was conducted through a consensus arrangement, leading to a seamless transition from the outgoing zonal executive. Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who chairs the Southeast Governor Forum, emphasized the importance of unity and progress within the party.

The congress saw the dissolution of the existing zonal executive and the adoption of a new executive list, which included key figures such as Chief Innoc Itakpa Azuoba as Secretary and Barrister Rex Mayor Ogbonna as Legal Adviser. Governor Peter Mbah remarked that the congress demonstrated the strength and unity of the APC in the Southeast, countering critics who predicted disarray.

The event highlighted the party's commitment to economic growth under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's leadership.
