APC South-South Elects New Zonal Executive in Asaba

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-South region successfully held a congress on Wednesday in Asaba, where a new zonal executive committee was elected. The congress was attended by prominent party leaders, including Senator Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, and various governors and lawmakers from the region.

The outgoing zonal executive committee was dissolved, and a motion was unanimously adopted to elect new officers through a consensus arrangement. Chief Victor Giadom emerged as the national vice chairman for the South-South, with Dr.

Ita Udosen as zonal secretary and Barr. Neworld Safugha as legal adviser.

The congress emphasized the importance of unity within the party, with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State highlighting the need for grassroots mobilization and internal cohesion. The event marked a significant step in strengthening the APC's political presence in the region ahead of the 2027 general elections.
