APC Extends Nomination Form Sale and Screening Dates

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced an extension of the sale of nomination forms and adjustments to the screening dates for candidates aspiring to contest in the 2027 general elections. According to a statement issued by Felix Morka, the party's National Publicity Secretary, the new deadline for the sale of nomination forms is set to midnight on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, while the submission of completed forms will close at midnight on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

The party's screening of aspirants is scheduled to take place from Friday, May 8, to Tuesday, May 12, 2026, with public screening of aspirants set for Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The APC had initially planned for the sale of forms to begin on Saturday, April 25, and end on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

The cost of the presidential nomination form is N100 million, while the governorship form costs N50 million. Aspirants for the House of Assembly are required to pay N6 million, those seeking seats in the House of Representatives must pay N10 million, and Senate aspirants are required to pay N20 million.
