APC Governors Back Uzodimma, Deny Leadership Crisis

On a recent Friday, governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) convened at the Imo Lodge to address allegations of a leadership crisis within the Progressives Governors Forum. During the closed-door meeting, they passed a vote of confidence in Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who is the current chairman of the forum.

The meeting included governors from various states, such as Ondo, Kaduna, Taraba, Sokoto, Ebonyi, Borno, Lagos, Kogi, Kano, Yobe, Kebbi, Benue, Jigawa, and Nasarawa. Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State moved the motion for the vote of confidence, which was seconded by Uba Sani of Kaduna State.

Following the meeting, Governor Sani dismissed reports of division within the forum, asserting that the APC remains united and committed to supporting President Bola Tinubu. Governor Uzodimma reiterated the party's dedication to ensuring a successful outcome in the upcoming elections scheduled for January 2027.
