Yobe APC Endorses Baba Wali for 2027 Governorship Election

The Yobe State Progress Congress APC has officially backed Baba Wali, the former Secretary to the State Government, as its preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election. This endorsement was announced in a communiqué issued following a stakeholder meeting held on Wednesday in Abuja.

The forum described Wali as a seasoned technocrat with adequate qualifications, patience, temperament, and good leadership qualities. They noted his long service and successful administration in previous positions, which they believe will contribute to the ongoing development agenda of Yobe State.

The stakeholder forum also reaffirmed its support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027. Additionally, the forum, chaired by former Governor Ibrahim Gaidam, emphasized the importance of continued dialogue to strengthen unity within the party ranks.
