APC Lawmaker Akin Alabi Shares Inspiring Journey from Chicken Hawker to Successful Entrepreneur

Akin Alabi, an APC lawmaker representing Egbeda federal constituency, shared his humble beginnings of hawking live chickens on the streets of Ibadan, emphasizing the challenges of hustling. Alabi, also the founder of NairaBET, Nigeria's first betting platform, reflected on his journey from poultry farming with a friend two decades ago to becoming a successful entrepreneur and legislator.

Since assuming office in the 10th national assembly in June 2019, Alabi has sponsored 10 bills and introduced several motions in the lower legislative chamber. He is credited with founding Lekki United football club and currently chairs the House of Representatives Committee on Work.
