APC Leaders Warn Against Distractions for Aiyedatiwa

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State have expressed concerns regarding distractions related to Governor Lucki Aiyedatiwa's potential re-election. They urged party members and grassroots leaders not to let ongoing legal challenges divert attention from governance and infrastructural development across the state's 18 local government areas.

Aiyedatiwa has not declared his intent to contest for a second term, facing legal challenges from a recent judgment by the Federal High Court in Akure, which halted his re-election bid. Babajid Akinwoler, a group chief, emphasized Aiyedatiwa's commitment to stable leadership and the welfare of the people, while Dele Akarigbo, a party chieftain, reiterated the importance of respecting judicial processes.

The APC leaders called for a focus on ongoing development projects aimed at improving transportation, boosting economic activities, and enhancing community connections, ensuring that the welfare of the people remains central to governance.
