APC Loses Key Members to NNPP in Ganduje’s Constituency

Former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje's home constituency in Dawakin Tofa witnessed a significant defection as key members switched allegiance to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). The ceremony, held at the Government House, saw Governor Abba Yusuf welcoming the new members on August 8.

Yusuf highlighted the approval of his administration's policies and projects in the area, promising equal treatment for the defectors. He also announced plans for economic improvements and the restructuring of the Dawanau International Market.

The NNPP state chairman expressed confidence in the new members' electoral success, including prominent figures like Hon Nura Tumfafi and Alhaji Abba Muntari Sani. This move comes after Ganduje resigned from his APC position, possibly linked to the upcoming 2027 presidential election and the growing opposition coalition.
